A bone is especially too hard for your puppy or senior dog. So rather choose a softer chew snack, such as a rabbit ear,
turkey neck, or duck neck.

As mentioned above, it is important that you only give safe chew bones to your dog under supervision. Also, make sure your dog has enough (fresh) drinking water available.
