Pamper your house tiger with wet cat food
Cats are and remain animals with their own will. As a cat owner, you shouldn’t be surprised if your house tiger suddenly stops eating his/her kibble. In such a case, consider adding more variety to the diet; you can do this by giving your cat wet food every day, separate from the kibble. Another option is to mix the
kibble with
wet cat food. Bet your fluff ball will suddenly like the kibble again?

The importance of a healthy composition
You can’t just get our picky cats to eat anything. No, at Prima Diervoeding we go all out for that. That’s why we asked ourselves: “which ingredient do cats find incredibly tasty and is also healthy?” And there was only one answer: meat, lots of meat. That’s why our wet cat food contains a substantial amount of animal proteins. And yes, this ingredient guarantees a high tastiness factor, but above all, meat provides your house tiger with plenty of energy. In addition, a high meat content supplies the necessary amino acids that your cat cannot produce itself.
But as important as animal proteins are, we still forgot a few ingredients: vitamins, minerals, and fats. These make a crucial contribution to your cat’s immune system.
Give bladder stones no chance
An optimal moisture content is essential for every animal; your fluff ball is no exception. And since cats are not good drinkers, it’s important to help your house tiger with his/her fluid intake. If you don’t do this, a long-term moisture deficiency may develop. And that’s not without risk, because a lack of moisture can eventually lead to bladder stones. This means small crystals (struvite or oxalate) form in your cat’s urine.
If bladder stones occur, you should contact your vet. This condition can often be treated with special diet food, so make sure to act quickly.
Ensure sufficient moisture
Prevent bladder stones by maintaining your house tiger’s moisture level with wet food. And believe us; your fluffy companion finds a wet cat meal absolutely delicious!
With more than 80% moisture, Prima Diervoeding’s wet cat food is an excellent way to prevent bladder stones.
Texture; the key to a purring cat
You don’t win over true connoisseurs easily; the wet cat food must be top quality. Texture is an important factor. So find out which texture your cat prefers: sauce, jelly, or mousse.
Do you choose complete or complementary wet cat food?
If you want to give wet food as a complete meal, pay close attention to the packaging; there is not only complete wet food but also complementary wet food. And in the case of complementary wet cat food, quite a few essential ingredients are missing. Therefore, complementary wet food is only suitable as a tasty extra, while complete wet food is also suitable as a main meal.
Stick to the right amount
Compared to the same amount of kibble, your fluff ball gets fewer nutrients from wet cat food. This is because wet food mainly consists of moisture. So if your cat only gets wet food and no kibble, it’s crucial to give more wet cat food.
Fortunately, you don’t have to make complicated calculations yourself; we have the feeding chart for that. You’ll find it on every package, so you can’t miss it!
The best way to store wet cat food
As long as the package is unopened, you can safely store it outside the fridge. An opened pouch, however, must be stored in the refrigerator. Note: do not keep wet food longer than 3 days. Also, make sure the pouch or can is well covered.
Do you have too much wet cat food left? Then it’s a shame to throw it away; freeze the leftover portions to use later.
