For healthy skin and coat, we use the best ingredients. Curious? Read along with us and discover which ingredients make the difference.
Salmon oil
Thanks to its omega-3 fatty acids, salmon oil is an important ingredient for healthy skin and coat. It may also have anti-inflammatory effects and support the immune system.
Simply put, your four-legged friend may experience less itching and hair loss, as well as a less dull coat.
Complete vitamin complex
The vitamin complex consists of various B vitamins (vitamins B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B9 and B12); among other things, these contribute to healthy skin, coat and nerve function.
Manganese and zinc also have a place in the composition. These are substances that help support healthy skin, coat, bones and muscles. Finally, we round off the ingredient list with:
• Vitamin A: an important component for the eyes, skin and immune system
• Vitamin C: an antioxidant that supports the immune system. In addition, this ingredient supports wound healing.
• Vitamin D: an essential ingredient for strong bones, a healthy immune system and skin.
• Vitamin E: supports natural resistance and the treatment of skin inflammation. It also protects the skin against premature aging (oxidative damage).
Zinc
Zinc is known to contribute to healthy skin and shiny coats. In other words, it’s an essential ingredient in Skin & Coat supplements!
Healthy nails, strong bones, and a properly functioning immune system are also among the potential health benefits.
Manganese
A manganese deficiency can cause skin conditions and a poor coat. And of course, that’s not what we want!
Fortunately, our Skin & Coat supplements contain enough manganese to put your dog back in the spotlight.
Leiber Biolex (yeast)
Leiber Biolex is an ingredient that supports your dog’s digestion. And importantly, it also supports the immune system. That’s great!
Diamond V
Although Diamond V primarily helps support a stable immune system, this ingredient can also contribute to a shiny coat and healthy skin.
Leucine
Leucine is an important amino acid that helps with protein synthesis and muscle maintenance. At the same time, it contributes to your dog’s skin and coat health.
Valine
With valine, your dog benefits from sufficient muscle growth. This ingredient also supports muscle recovery, which is especially helpful after active walks or playtime!
Phenylalanine
Is your dog’s dark-colored coat turning red? This may be caused by a phenylalanine deficiency.
Naturally, phenylalanine has therefore been added to the formula, so your dog can enjoy an intensely colored coat!
Threonine
Threonine is an ingredient that helps produce collagen and elastin. There’s a good chance that healthy skin and coat will be sorted in no time!
Isoleucine
Isoleucine also supports your dog’s muscle growth. In addition, this ingredient helps with muscle recovery—especially after intensive training with your four-legged friend.
Arginine
Like many other ingredients, arginine has several functions. First and foremost, arginine helps with muscle growth and recovery. This amino acid can also contribute to a healthy immune system, proper protein synthesis, and stable bone growth.
Histidine
Dogs cannot produce enough histidine themselves, an essential amino acid. It is therefore our responsibility to include this ingredient in the formulation. After all, a histidine deficiency can result in anemia or reduced resistance. Histidine may also contribute to skin hydration.
Lysine
Lysine is also an essential amino acid that dogs cannot produce themselves. This ingredient helps with collagen production. In addition, lysine is a building block for proteins, which is beneficial for muscle development! But that is not all; lysine also helps support strong bones.
Methionine
Your dog's skin suffers from a methionine deficiency. Skin problems, such as dryness, can quickly arise as a result. Fortunately, the Skin & Coat supplements contain methionine: an ingredient that strengthens the skin and coat from within.
Finally, methionine may also contribute to a healthy immune system.
L-tryptophan
L-tryptophan may help reduce your dog's stress and anxiety. Although this has nothing to do with skin and coat health, it can help with skin irritation. After all, a calm dog is less likely to scratch and/or lick.
Let's also not forget that L-tryptophan may contribute to healthy muscles and good digestion.
Hydrolyzed algae meal
In fact, hydrolyzed algae meal is nothing more than seaweed: an ingredient that contains plenty of omega-3 fatty acids. Together with other nutrients, these contribute to healthy skin and coat condition.
What's more, your four-legged friend can expect even more health benefits. Seaweed may help support healthy digestion and contribute to a strong immune system.
Directions for use: Start with half of the recommended amount and gradually increase to the full recommended daily dosage. The amounts can be spread throughout the day.
