Dry Food for Your Dog and Cat

Healthy and tasty kibble, is that possible? Absolutely! At Prima Diervoeding, taste ranks high on our list of requirements without compromising on the composition. Our dry food is truly delicious and packed with healthy ingredients. Are you more of a wet food person? Then mix the wet food with the kibble or serve the wet food separately. For delicious dry and wet food, Prima Diervoeding is the right place. Other popular items are our nutritional supplements, dog snacks, and cat treats.

How Important Is the Composition?

For both dog and cat kibble, meat should be the main ingredient. This provides your dog and cat with plenty of energy. Moreover, animal proteins play an important role in supporting your dog’s joints and muscles. Cats also benefit from a high meat content; animal proteins provide essential amino acids that our house tigers cannot produce themselves. Is a high meat content the only requirement for healthy dry food? No, without the right amount of fats, vitamins, and minerals, the dry food is incomplete.

No Artificial Preservatives

At Prima Diervoeding, avoiding artificial preservatives is more than logical. Your pet’s health comes first, and that means no artificial junk. Artificial preservatives are labeled as BHA and BHT and can cause unpleasant issues such as high blood pressure and skin problems. For this reason, we consciously choose vitamin C and vitamin E; a natural alternative to extend the shelf life of the kibble.

Crispy or Pressed Dry Food?

Dry food comes in two varieties: crispy and pressed. Some prefer crispy kibble and others the opposite. However, one type is not qualitatively better than the other. It’s more a matter of taste and how your dog reacts to it. The only reason we chose crispy kibble is that it allows for more meat content. And at Prima Diervoeding, we stand for “more meat, fewer grains.”

Enhance Kibble with a Nutritional Supplement

You can make dry food even tastier with our delicious nutritional supplements. Your dog or cat can choose from salmon oil and mutton fat. But did you know that the high taste factor isn’t the only reason to enrich your pet’s kibble with a topping? The omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids in our salmon oil contribute to better kidney function. Plus, your pet’s coat and skin will noticeably improve.

Which Dry Food Is Suitable for Kittens and Puppies?

Kittens and puppies are bursting with energy at a young age. To meet this energy demand, your little ball of energy needs more animal proteins, vitamins, and minerals than an adult cat. For this reason, the composition of kitten and/or puppy food differs from kibble for adult cats and dogs.

Grains or No Grains?

Poor-quality grains are a real no-go; these grains are poorly cooked and not properly processed, which can cause unpleasant complaints. Excessive amounts also have an impact. To prevent such issues, our range includes only grain-reduced and grain-free dry food.
