How much food do you give a puppy?
To prevent your pup’s eyes from tempting you to give too many kibbles, it is important that you know
how much food a puppy is allowed to eat.
If you do not stick to the required amount, there is a good chance your pup will get too many or too few kibbles. And we want to avoid that at all times; overfeeding can cause growing pains and even skeletal abnormalities. But too little puppy kibble is also problematic. This can result in weak bones, poor growth, a dull coat, and low energy. In short: make sure you know the answer to the question ‘how much food do you give a puppy’?

Create structure
For gradual growth, structure is also extremely important.
Make sure to divide the required amount over four meals per day during the first 24 weeks. After these 24 weeks, you can reduce the distribution to two to three meals per day.
Note: give the kibble at a fixed time for extra structure.
Pay attention here
Let your pup enjoy their meal in peace; make sure to keep playing children or other animals away. This greatly reduces the chance of food aggression. Moreover, your little ball of energy will be less likely to gulp down their food.
Is the meal finished? Then do
not start your walk or playtime during the first hour — or even the first two hours. Why? This can prevent gastric torsion, which is very dangerous.
